Horsetail’s history dates back to the Devonian period when its ancestors grew as tall as modern palm trees. Unlike cat-tail, horsetail is renowned as one of the richest natural sources of silica, making it valuable for polishing metal—a trait that earned it the name “scouring rush.” Over time, horsetail has found uses in shampoos, skincare products, and dietary supplements.
